As a member of NAHN, you have a voice in national issues impacting the health care of Hispanics. All members are eligible to participate in NAHN activities, to be candidates for NAHN elected positions, and participate in the election of NAHN board members. Benefits of membership include continuing education, professional networking, leadership development, and a year’s subscription to our journal.
Local Chapter Membership
Local chapters provide members with the opportunity to address issues impacting the health care of Hispanics at the local and state levels. Benefits of chapter membership include local continuing education, professional and social networking.
General (previously Full and Associate)
For any nurse licensed in the United States and its jurisdictions and who is interested in helping to solve the healthcare problems and support the healthcare needs of the Hispanic community.
Non-nursing health professionals interested in solving the problems/needs of the Hispanic/Latino/a nurses.
Licensed Hispanic/Latino(a) nurses licensed not residing in the US or its jurisdictions.
Emeritus (previously Retired)
For Hispanic/Latino/a US-licensed nurses 62 years or older who are not employed full-time in nursing.
For any students enrolled in a RN, LPN/LVN program full time who is interested in helping to solve the healthcare problems of the Hispanic community. Students who are already RNs, LPNs or LVNs must join as General Members. Proof Required, current transcript or letter from nursing program leading to licensure. Transcript may be obtained from school’s website.
NOTE: General (active) and Emeritus are the only categories with voting privileges.
